State Abuzz as Game Week Begins

The storylines leading up to the game are numerous, but here are a few:

The game features a pair of former NFL coaches in Arkansas’ Bobby Petrino and Alabama’s Nick Saban. Both were outcast by many in professional football for voluntarily leaving their respective NFL teams for their current gigs.
The game features arguably the top two Heisman Trophy candidates in Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett and defending Heisman winner, Alabama running back Mark Ingram. Both are coming off big weeks. Mallett passed for 380 yards and three touchdowns at Georgia, including a game-winner with 15 seconds remaining. Ingram rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns in his first game of the season at Duke after returning from a knee injury.
