STARKVILLE – Projecting a team’s record is an ominous enough task to begin with, and not one I’m fond of attempting. Especially this year, with this Mississippi State football team.
Here’s the thing: I think Dan Mullen is a really, really good coach. There’s an air about this team that wasn’t present two years ago, Sylvester Croom’s final season in Starkville. The offense is no longer as offensive as an Eminem track. I mean, MSU just went 5-7 and yet has (once again) set a school record for season ticket sales (42,000-plus).
