USC, Texas to play home-and-home

Texas and USC, who squared off in the epic 2006 BCS national championship game won by the Longhorns, have agreed to play in a home-and-home series to be played in 2017 and 2018.
“USC versus Texas is a classic matchup and I’m sure fans from both schools, as well as all college football fans, will look forward to these games with much anticipation,” said new USC athletic director Pat Haden, according to ESPNLosAngeles.com. “It’s been a long time since USC has played Texas in the regular season, and of course we all remember how exciting the recent bowl game meeting was between the teams.”
USC will host the first game, on Sept. 16, 2017 in the Coliseum. The 2018 game will take place in Austin on Sept. 15.
