Buccaneers bring back former Ole Miss QB Jevan Snead
Snead, who had a strong 2008 season but faltered in 2009, left the Rebels early to enter the 2010 draft but was not selected. The Bucs signed him as a free agent in April but cut him July 31.
With first-string QB Josh Freeman dealing with a thumb injury that will keep him out of the rest of the preseason, Snead should get some significant practice time behind backups Josh Johnson and Rudy Carpenter.
