Dan Mullen brings bite to Bulldogs
Second-year coach has MSU’s 2011 recruiting class off to a surprisingly good start

Who the Bulldogs have
If the 2011 Bulldog class is any indication, Mullen is moving in the right direction. It’s an underrated group, especially when you compare it to the rest of the SEC. Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and others in the conference get all the attention, but it’s surprising just how good Mississippi State’s class is so far.

Quarterback Dakota Prescott looks like a good fit for MSU’s spread attack. Prescott, from Haughton (La.) High School, is 6-foot-4, 225 pounds and has deceptive mobility in the pocket. He can extend a play and beat a defense with his legs. He has a funky throwing motion but still has a fairly strong arm and gets the job done. He has some serious upside in an offense that is suited for him with Mullen as his mentor.
