Neshoba notebook: Questions unresolved

What we don’t know after Neshoba are any public confirmations on the political futures of State Treasurer Tate Reeves, State Auditor Stacey Pickering or Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann – public confirmations being the key term.

The lack of public confirmation on those decisions also keeps a lid on the decisions of a number of lesser-known down ticket challengers for the offices those three may or may not be vacating.

We know Hood is seeking re-election as attorney general and will face Public Safety Commissioner Steve Simpson. Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney is seeking re-election.

Longtime Agriculture Commissioner Lester Spell is not.

But in truth, we all left the Neshoba County Fair knowing not much more about the 2011 elections than when it began. With that bit of overall preface declared, let’s clean out the Neshoba County Fair political notebook:
