Wicker, in his first term as a Senator, has raised more than $900,000 this election cycle (more than 10x that of Sen. Thad Cochran), while spending more than $500,000 with a 2012 re-election date coming in a little more than two years. He has a pretty modest $400,000 or so cash on hand although that (and whatever he receives in the next two years) should be enough to fend off any Democratic challengers who will be waiting for 2014 (assuming Cochran doesn’t retire before than).
