Hard to believe LSU’s teams will go very far

Hate to compare softball and baseball, particularly since the LSU softball team was all pitch and no hit and the baseball team is usually better at hitting than pitching. But the two teams have the same problem, which is also why the baseball team’s season will end in an NCAA Regional not near you weekend after next. When the game is right there for the taking, neither has showed lately that it can do what it takes to win it. Look for LSU (36-20, 14-16 Southeastern Conference) to win a game, maybe two, in the SEC Tournament that starts Wednesday, but it will be home for the weekend.
