Media Matters – BP barring media coverage from oil soaked beaches
So BP is deciding on restrictions for access to the oil-soaked beaches that resulted from its gulf tragedy? That seems to be the case according to one CBS news report (below).
Mother Jones cited the video in an item noting the restriction and showing the proper outrage.
“Why is BP calling the shots? This was a public beach,” Mother Jones stated. “The camera crews have every right–and in fact an obligation–to show people what’s going on. Why is the federal government running defense for BP?”
