CHILDERS REFUSES TO GO TO THE MAT FOR MISSISSIPPIANS AND VOW TO REPEAL OBAMA-CARE
McGlowan: “After Empowering Pelosi with His Vote, It’s the Least He Can Do”
Oxford, MS – Mississippi’s 1st district Republican candidate Angela McGlowan, today called on U.S. Representative Travis Childers to stand by his “no” vote on the health care bill signed into law by President Barack Obama. Childers stated yesterday that he does not support efforts to repeal Obama-Care, as they are “politically motivated.” Childers said it is “time to move forward” with the bill.
“Travis Childers may have voted against Obama-Care, but he voted to make San Francisco liberal Nancy Pelosi Speaker of the peoples’ House. She repaid Childers by shoving Obama-Care down the throats of Mississippians,” McGlowan said. “The least Travis Childers can do is commit to doing everything he possibly can to undo that which Nancy Pelosi, who Mr. Childers empowered with his vote to make Speaker of the peoples’ House, has done to force Obama-Care on Mississippians.”
Earlier this week, McGlowan signed the Club for Growth’s pledge to sponsor and support legislation to repeal Obama-Care. McGlowan’s health care platform includes reforms that will not impose additional taxes on Americans, including: tax incentives for small businesses that provide health care to their employees, tort reform and caps on malpractice lawsuits, and the creation of medical savings accounts. McGlowan is a long-term supporter of President George W. Bush’s plan to create individual retirement accounts that would serve to save Social Security, a program upon which so many elderly Mississippians depend.
Former Fox News political analyst and TEA Party Speaker Angela McGlowan is a pro-life, pro-gun, anti-tax, anti-wasteful government spending conservative Republican running to represent Mississippians in the 1st congressional district.
