Bush not expected to accept pay cut in 2010

Beat writer Mike Triplett doesn’t believe the Saints can “strong-arm” Reggie Bush into taking a pay cut this offseason.
Bush’s salary jumps from $2.585M in 2009 to $8M in 2010 (and $11.8M in 2011), which is much more than Saints want to pay for a role player. Both sides realize, however, that Bush would be highly sought after on the open market. The Saints will likely try to entice Bush into restructuring with an extension included. Failing that, they’ll have to bite the bullet and shell out the $8M in an uncapped year.
