Rumor: Swarbrick met with Stoops Sunday
Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops is a name on top of most Notre Dame fans wish-list. Rumors have gone wild the last few days that Stoops would interview with Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick.
Sunday night there are even rumors that Swarbrick flew into Oklahoma City to meet with Stoops.
But, Stoops returned a text message sent to him by a Tulsaworld-dot-com writer saying, “On the record, I am not (interviewing). First I’ve heard of this (rumor).”
It should be noted that Stoops does not interview for jobs, he feels his record speaks for itself.
In 11 seasons Stoops has a 116-and-29 record. OU won the 2000 national championship, played for two more and captured six Big 12 South crowns and six Big 12 titles.
Stoops is an Irish Catholic who grew up in the mid-west.
