Dogs’ O-line shows ability to go distance

The intense expression on John Hevesy’s face doesn’t break when asked if he wasn’t happy about playing the same five offensive linemen for all 86 plays of Saturday’s Mississippi State loss to LSU.
“Whatever it’s going to take us to win the game,” he said with a shrug.

Truth be told, the Bulldogs’ offensive line coach doesn’t want it to be that way. But that’s just part of the hand he’s been dealt in his and head coach Dan Mullen’s first year with the Bulldogs. If the first four games are any indication, they’re playing that hand well as State (2-2) turns the page to October with Saturday’s game against No. 25 Georgia Tech (3-1).
