YP – Disclosure on political contribution

As has been the case for several federal races, I wanted to disclose that I personally donated a reportable amount to Alan Nunnelee for his congressional race. I have made similar donations to and disclaimers for contributions to Wicker, Harper and Gregg Davis in the past.

I am certainly not under any obligation to make the disclosure. I’m free to donate to political campaigns just like everyone else, and it will soon be public record anyway if it’s not already. But I do think that it’s important to factor that into pieces that I’m sure I will write when that campaign heats up. I will refer to that donation again in the context of opinion pieces I write on that race.
