Harper talks with Leader-Call editorial board
U.S. Rep. Gregg Harper (R-Miss.) continued the bevy of elected leaders to visit the City Beautiful Thursday as he met with the editorial board of the Laurel Leader-Call.
Earlier in the day, Harper visited the Rogers-Green House to meet with members of the community.
Harper was all smiles at first, joking about the college football season which is quickly getting underway. But, he soon got serious when discussing some of the issues currently plaguing the nation such as health care, cap and trade and the economy.
On the issue of health care, Harper said there is an outline for health care reform, but “we don’t know what the final plan will be until they say this is it.”
