Law and More – State Farm, not what All the King’s Men made it out to be

State Farm, not what All the King’s Men made it out to be

All the king’s men, especially Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood, were busy bees trying to make State Farm the bad guy in Katrina et al. It didn’t work. And, personally, I am glad of that. The company was around to treat me just fine when my ’03 Ford Escort was stolen. Yesterday, they offered me a generous settlement of $4600+. That was the auto part of my claim. The renter’s insurance part, which covers the laptop, books and cat food, dry and wet, that were in the car, will add to that, in time.

Insurance companies have had a rough go of it. And more trouble, business experts predict, could be brewing. But from this corner on Main Street, this one did right by me.
