With 14 days left on a deadline to craft a budget, House Medicaid Committee Dirk Dedeaux described the scenario as “pretty much a train wreck situation” after House and Senate leaders met again this morning.
He referred specifically to a hospital tax hike to help pay for Medicaid, which remains one of the biggest points of contention.
Negotiators will meet again this afternoon.
