Police eye burglary at Melton headquarters
Jackson Mayor Frank Melton’s downtown campaign headquarters was broken into this morning, according to his campaign manager.
“I left the office at 1:30 a.m. and was heading back about 7 a.m. when I got a call from a worker that said somebody had busted in a back door,” Erik Fleming said.
The burglar made off with Fleming’s laptop computer and a television.
“It also looks like they ransacked the place,” Fleming said.
