Kingfish: WLBT questions Crisler shooting

Well, well, well. WLBT investigated Ward 6 Councilman and Mayoral candidate Marshand Crisler’s claim about his being shot in 1993. Jackson Jambalaya first questioned the circumstances surrounding his shooting. WLBT did a decent job in covering the story and was able to get Crisler to admit he was the unidentified deputy mentioned in news stories regarding the incident in 1993:

“Crisler says authorities arrested Anthony Dixon and charged him with aggravated assault.
Hinds County Sheriff Malcolm McMillin never released the name of the deputy who was shot.
The incident was one of three cases that were under investigation after reports of evidence-tampering.”
