Alan Lange and YallPolitics go to court to obtain the settlement order in Hood v. State Farm

There was talk here and elsewhere about whether it was appropriate for an order involving the state of Mississippi and such pubic interest to be under seal, and whether either the state’s open records rules or other means could be used to pry the settlement documents out of the seal.

And now Alan Lange has taken matters into his own hands, filing court pleadings to have the settlement opened. You can read copies of them here, allong with Alan’s account of what he’s doing. And meanwhile here at NMissCommentor, we’ll be chearing him on, and perhaps even joining in.
