STARKVILLE – John Cohen was quick to assign himself the scouting report this week. He told his assistants in a meeting Monday, “Guys, I’ve got this one.”
Cohen, of course, is quite familiar with this weekend’s opponent, Kentucky. It’s where he coached for five seasons prior to his arrival at Mississippi State last summer.
And here’s the abridged version of his scouting report on the Wildcats (19-16, 4-11 SEC): Good in the field, good on the mound, punchless at the plate. Does that mean Cohen left the Kentucky program lacking?
