In its first two years of service in Hinds and Madison counties, Metro One participated in 166 car pursuits, 195 foot chases, spotted more than 40 stolen vehicles and assisted in the capture of 236 suspects, according to a Clarion-Ledger report from November 2008.
Hinds County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Steve Pickett said Metro One is worth its price.
“Metro One has been a tremendous tool and resource for metro area law enforcement,” he said.
