NEW ORLEANS — Southern Miss pushed its consecutive winning season streak to 15 in a remarkable comeback with a dramatic 30-27 overtime win against Troy on Sunday in the New Orleans Bowl before a Louisiana Superdome crowd of 30,197.
The Golden Eagles, who finished the season at 7-6 with their fifth straight win, overcame a 10-point fourth quarter deficit to knock off the Trojans for the seventh time in eight meetings.
The Golden Eagles also remained an unbeaten 3-0 in New Orleans Bowl appearances.
