GENE PHELPS:If anybody can beat South Panola, it’s Bobby Hall

Not many in the Northeast Mississippi football community would be surprised tonight to hear that Madison Central has beaten five-time state champion South Panola and ended the Tigers’ 88-game win streak, the nation’s longest.
This writer wouldn’t be shocked.
It’s not wise to pick against Bobby Hall, especially when the odds are seemingly stacked against him.

– He coached two seasons at Northeast Mississippi Community College and made the state playoffs each year with a program that was a combined 1-19 in two previous years.
