Rebels shooting to make the leap to NCAA berth

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss sophomore guard Chris Warren has made one thing perfectly clear — he would much rather be in Detroit this upcoming April than in New York City.
It’s not that Warren has a problem with New York. It’s just that until the Big Apple goes from hosting the NIT championship to the NCAA championship, then Warren would only like to visit in the offseason.
After back-to-back appearances in the NIT, including last year’s Final Four run that ended with a semifinal loss to Ohio State at Madison Square Garden, the Rebels have set their sights higher. Like Detroit, the site of next year’s NCAA Final Four.
