Judicial candidates can’t use phrase “trial lawyers” in ads?
What a load of manure. For starters, the committee’s order to Pierce violates a law that forbids judges from having any contact or coordination with third-party organizations. Pierce can’t ask them to start or stop an ad or interfere with content. And if he does, they don’t have to do it.
What this committee ruling does appear to be is a purely political action against Pierce and for Diaz.
Besides, since when did “trial lawyer” become a dirty word? The group used to call themselves the Miss. Trial Lawyers Association, didn’t they?
