Residents outraged over stolen, vandalized campaign signs

By: Magnolia Tribune - October 25, 2008

WLBT, 10/23/8

As the election nears, emotions are strong all sides. And some Jackson residents are outraged over vandalized campaign signs.

All that’s left of Aubrey and Frank Farmer’s sign supporting Barack Obama is a crumpled, shredded mess. According to the Farmers, it’s the third Obama sign that’s been stolen or vandalized in front of their Northeast Jackson home this year.

“They probably want it to send a message, but to me it’s not going to change my vote,” said Aubrey Farmer. “I had someone leave me a McCain sign when they stole my Obama sign, and it’s, no matter how many signs you steal from me, it’s not going to change my vote.”
