Oklahoma State in rare form on football field

STILLWATER, Okla. – A year removed from his infamous “I’m a man! I’m 40!” rant, Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy could now proclaim, “I’m the man!” around these parts.

Gundy has Stillwater buzzing with his Oklahoma State Cowboys ranked No. 7 in The Associated Press poll and sixth in the BCS standings. OSU, which plays at No. 1 Texas today, is 7-0 for the first time since the end of World War II. That’s a span of 63 years.
“There is a lot of excitement in this area,” Gundy said. “We’re aware of how much further along we are. We’re not the finished product as a team or a program, but we’re taking strides.”
