Gas prices across Mississippi are expected to continue to fall, with the cost of a gallon of regular unleaded possibly slipping below $3 at more metro-are stations by Thanksgiving, according to AAA Mississippi.
Unleaded gasoline was an average $3.40 a gallon nationally on Thursday, AAA reported.
In Mississippi, the cost was lower – $3.34 – down about 5 cents from the day before.
“The trend of these falling prices, we’re expecting that to continue at least through the remainder of the month,” said Don Redman, a spokesman for AAA Mississippi.
