Wednesday wrap: Strange day in Auburn football

Covering Auburn sports is never boring, and I’ve learned to expect the unexpected. But Wednesday was one of the more stunning days in my five-year tenure. I don’t think anyone would have been surprised if Auburn had made a change after this season. But to make the switch in the middle of the season, in the middle of the week, a couple of hours before practice, a few days before a game — well, that was a stunner.
