Dooley: Saban won’t dominate Tuberville

It’s college football, so I took a poll.
Nick Saban didn’t drop Georgia. Vince Dooley did.

Saban isn’t one of the seven SEC coaches with a ballot in the USA Today poll, so the Alabama coach is not responsible for Georgia falling from No. 1 to No. 3 despite being 4-0.
Old coaches don’t vote there, either, but Dooley and 17 of his fellow retirees team up every week to put out the Legends Poll, sponsored by The Sporting News.
They’ve voted just twice because they waited until the third weekend to offer their opinions. Each time, USC got every first-place vote.
Including Dooley’s.
“I put Southern Cal at No. 1 based on their performance,” Dooley said. “It wasn’t Georgia so much as Southern Cal.”
