It’s called the “Misery Index” and liberals play it like a fine tuned instrument. The common denominator for almost every negative input into poor sales, jobs numbers, etc. all have their roots in record high petroleum cost.
Which Party is in power and could do something about that immediately?
Which Party wants American voters to translate economic pain into political change?
Which Party wished for more failures and defeats in Iraq to crank up the “Misery Index”?
Which Party wants the economy to cause as much misery till November so they can assume power of the Executive Branch and solidify their current control of the House and Senate?
At every campaign stop, Republican candidates should be bringing this point home to the voters. The Democrats are holding the economy hostage by failing to act on a wide open Bill to allow drilling. This is who they are and how they win elections.
If they truly cared about people over power, principles over politics, they would have come together before the recess and passed a comprehensive energy plan.
It is the Democrat Party that holds the keys to the economic engine and they are willing to let that engine stall and leave hard working American citizens stranded in order to win power in November.
