Call the Secretary of State: Tell him to put the Senate Race at the top of the Ballot.
In recent weeks we have learned that Secretary of State Hosemann may ignore state election law and put the Musgrove-Wicker Senate race on the bottom of the ballot, in effect hiding it from tens of thousands of voters.
While the race is the most prominent in the state, it may receive the least attention on Election Day.
The Associated Press reported on the controversy: “History shows there is typically a significant drop-off in the number of Mississippians who vote in top-of-the-ticket races such as president and senator and those who vote in races further down the ballot, where the candidates might be less familiar.”
There is still time to take action. You can make a difference.
Call Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann at 601-359-1350 and tell him to put principle over partisanship. Tell him to put the Senate race on the top of the ballot where it belongs.
The law is clear. Federal races like the Musgrove-Wicker race belong on the top of the ballot. Only county and district special elections are placed at the bottom of the ballot.
The Daily Journal called the decision a “no-brainer,” and said “the only plausible reason for anyone to want it near the bottom is the hope that some voters will overlook it.” Read more here.

Call Secretary Hosemann and tell him not to play political games. Remember, the Secretary of State works for the people of Mississippi.
