FOOTBALL: Thursday practice notes
– In the absence of Jonathan Cornell, the first-team middle linebacker is Tony Fein. No surprise there. It’s not known how long Cornell (strained calf) will be out. Fein was said to be really pushing Cornell already.
– While strong side linebacker Allen Walker is back at practice, Lamar Brumfield continues to run first tream.
