Tuberville tells defense: No more big plays
We’re guilty as charged in the Gold Mine. We like to follow the guys with the ball. Quarterbacks. Running backs. Wide receivers.
But we’re here today to give the defense some love. Coach Tommy Tuberville explains why he likes new defensive coordinator Paul Rhoads’ approach to the game, as told to the media during SEC Kickoff 2008 on Friday.
We should say Auburn really didn’t give up that many big plays last season, though glaring ones stand out in losses to LSU and Georgia (isn’t that always the way?). Let’s go inside the numbers:
