Former Briarcrest stars Michael Oher, Greg Hardy earn preseason All-SEC honors
A pair of Ole Miss Rebels from Briarcrest Christian — senior offensive tackle Michael Oher and junior defensive end Greg Hardy — were unanimous selections to the coaches’ All-SEC football first team announced today.
Oher (6-5, 318) and Hardy (6-4, 265) were two of seven unanimous picks and the only two Rebels on the first team.
Tennessee had four first-teamers, the same number as LSU and trailing only Florida’s five. Vols honored were offensive tackle Anthony Parker (unanimous), running back Arian Foster, linebacker Rico McCoy and defensive back Eric Berry.
Arkansas’ lone first-team pick was center Jonathan Luigs (unanimous), while Mississippi State was represented by defensive back Derek Pegues (South Panola High).
