Rankin attorneys vying for congressional post
Ross is stressing his experience in the Mississippi House and Senate.
In boasting that “experience counts,” he highlights his legislative accomplishments in getting bills passed.
“I am the only candidate with experience in the legislative arena. I will be able to hit the ground running in Washington,” he said.
Ross, 52, served 10 years in the Mississippi Senate and one year in the House of Representatives. He chaired the Senate Judiciary ‘A’ Committee from 2004 through last year.
Harper, 51, is stressing his public-service credentials.
“He’s got a servant’s heart and a servant’s attitude,” said Chip Reynolds, a campaign consultant speaking on Harper’s behalf.
