Ross pursues GOP nod for U.S. House seat

Former State Sen. Charlie Ross says his record in the Mississippi Legislature and his experience there are distinguishing factors as he runs for Congress.
Ross, a Brandon resident who grew up in Eupora, says he has “close and deep ties to Starkville,” where a number of relatives have attended Mississippi State University.
He was in Starkville Saturday for a meet and greet event and took part in an interview early in the afternoon.
“If people want to know what type of congressman I’ll be, take a look at what I did in the Legislature,” he said. “I think that’s a distinguishing factor between me and the others running on the Republican side is that I have a legislative record.”
