A surprising new order in US v. Scruggs
There are new pleadings in United States v. Scruggs. Judge Biggers set Steve Patterson’s change-of-plea for Tuesday morning. More dramatically, he entered an Order on sealing motion to continue. This order notes that on Friday, the defendants filed a motion to continue along with a motion asking that the motion and its consideration be under seal. The order rules that this motion will be held under seal, with the court to consider the issue of keeping it under seal at the Wednesday discovery hearing.
