Voter Registration Deadline Nears
For General Election
Secretary of State Eric Clark reminds all prospective voters that Friday, October 5, is the last regular business day to register to vote in the state general election to be held November 6.
“I want to encourage all Mississippians who are not registered to get registered and vote in this important election,” Clark said. “I would also remind registered voters who have moved that they need to update their registration with their county Circuit Clerk or at City Hall.”
Some Circuit Clerks’ offices will be open for extended hours during the week and on Saturday, October 6 for voter registration. Voters are advised to contact their local Circuit Clerk. State mail-in voter registration applications should be mailed to the appropriate county Circuit Clerk and must be postmarked by October 7.
A mail-in voter registration form is available on the Secretary of State’s website, www.sos.state.ms.us.
For help with any Mississippi elections question, please contact the Secretary of State’s Office at 359-6357 or 800-829-6786, or your county Circuit Clerk.
