The city of Jackson might have to repay about $519,000 in federal law enforcement grants awarded as far back as 1998.
U.S. Department of Justice records show some of the money was spent after the two-year window in which the city had to use it.
Other money was never spent, and internal auditors are seeking details on what happened to some funding.
