DA’s defeat likely to delay slayings trial
The trial of three men charged in the 1998 slayings of four men in a Jackson apartment likely will be delayed further as a result of Hinds County District Attorney Faye Peterson’s election defeat.
Peterson said Friday she doubts the trial will occur before she leaves office in January because she’ll be on medical leave the last two months of the year. The case was delayed in August and reset for Dec. 3.
