Rudy Giuliani Speaks at Hinds Community College
Republican presidential hopeful, Rudy Giuliani, was in central Mississippi for the first time Tuesday, touting his emergency preparedness plan.
With Governor Haley Barbour, the former New York City mayor compared preparing for terrorist attacks and natural disasters to be one and the same. A crowd of two hundred supporters listened to Guiliani lay out his idea how to make emergency response better.
Guiliani praised Barbour and Mississippians for becoming stronger and better prepared following Hurricane Katrina.
Giuliani told supporters that it was up to local police, fire fighters and even civilians to make sure their communities are ready should the worst happen.
