Prosecutors will ask a federal judge today to put reputed Klansman James Ford Seale behind bars for life for his role in abducting and killing two black teenagers 43 years ago.
U.S. District Judge Henry Wingate will decide at 9 a.m. today what sentence to give Seale, convicted of kidnapping in connection with the May 2, 1964, slayings of Henry Hezekiah Dee and Charles Eddie Moore. The two 19-year-olds were hitchhiking in Meadville when Klansmen picked them up, took them to a secluded forest, beat them, then hauled them to the Mississippi River, where the teens were bound, weighted down and drowned.
