In a little more than 20 years, Dorothy Benford has run unsuccessfully for at least 10 local, state or federal public offices.
If the number of votes she garnered during the Aug. 7 primary is any indication, though, the controversial candidate for Hinds County tax assessor could nab an office this time.
But Utica Mayor Charles Stokes said he thinks he will prevent Benford from prevailing.
