Democrat John Arthur Eaves Jr. discounted speculation Monday he is waging a campaign for governor simply to gain more publicity for his successful Jackson law practice.
“If I wanted to promote my law practice, I could just buy more ads on television,” Eaves said during a 60-minute interview with the Daily Journal editorial board. “It would be a whole lot cheaper and less challenging for my family.”
