Small Business Advocacy Group Endorses Flowers

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) formally endorsed Senator Merle Flowers’ re-election effort. The NFIB, which is the nation’s leading small-business advocacy association, gave Senator Flowers an “A” ranking for his outstanding record supporting small businesses across Mississippi.

“Senator Flowers’ public service and exemplary leadership is helping the free enterprise system thrive in Mississippi, producing more and better jobs,” said Ron Aldridge, NFIB Mississippi Director. “A true friend and supporter of small business, Senator Flowers has proven that he is committed to critical small business issues, such as maintaining a fair and balanced legal system, holding the line on taxes and fees, and making health insurance more affordable.”

Flowers was proud to receive the NFIB’s endorsement, saying he shares the group’s commitment to promote and protect the right of small businesses to operate and grow. “Most small businesses are family owned and operated. I recognize that these small businesses represent the backbone of Mississippi’s economy. I will continue to work hard in the Senate to foster a strong business climate that helps small businesses succeed,” said Flowers.
