Education Committee Endorses Senator Flowers

The Business and Industry Political Education Committee (BIPEC) formally endorsed Senator Merle Flowers in his re-election effort on Monday. BIPEC is an education and research organization committed to educating employers and employer-related trade associations about candidates they have favorably recognized.
“We wish Senator Flowers success in his 2007 election effort, and we thank him for his leadership,” said BIPEC president Dick Wilcox. “We will recommend Sen. Flowers’ campaign to our broad-based membership of business and professional leaders.”
Flowers said he was proud to have BIPEC’s support. “I have worked hard in the Senate to support solid pro-education and pro-business initiatives,” said Flowers. “We have increased spending for public education by $500 million and enhanced workforce training, all while achieving a balanced budget. This endorsement is very significant, and I want to thank BIPEC for their support.”
