Bryant and Ross, vying to win the Republican Aug. 7 Republican primary, made separate appearances Friday before the Daily Journal editorial board. The primary winner will face state Rep. Jamie Franks, D-Mooreville, in the Nov. 6 general election.

Amy Tuck to lower Mississippi’s grocery tax, which is the highest state-imposed tax of its kind in the nation, and to increase the cigarette tax, which is the third lowest in the nation.
