POLICE BENEVOLENT ASSOCATION ENDORSES FLOWERS

JULY 12, 2007

The Mississippi Police Benevolent Association (MSPBA) formally endorsed Senator Merle Flowers in his re-election effort Thursday. The MSPBA is the state’s prominent law enforcement association, comprising officers employed by local, county, state, and federal governments.

“We will ask our members, their friends and families, and all citizens who respect the strong and efficient enforcement of our laws to cast their ballots in the upcoming election in Senator Flowers’ favor,” said Chris Skinner, the MSPBA’s Division President.

Flowers said he was humbled by the Police Benevolent Association’s endorsement. “These brave men and women in uniform put their lives on the line every day and night to protect our families, our neighborhoods, and our communities,” said Flowers. “I have worked hard in the Senate to give them every tool they need to fight crime and keep us safe from harm. This endorsement is very significant, and I want to thank all of the law enforcement officers for their loyal support.”
